Iowa Insurance Institute Members Advocate for Insurance Industry at Iowa State Capitol, Host Breakfast with Commissioner Doug Ommen

Iowa Insurance Institute members recently spent the day at the Iowa State Capitol promoting the property and casualty industry. On February 12, 2019, members participated in Iowa Insurance Day on the Hill, where they met with legislators, as well as Governor Kim Reynolds and Lt. Governor Adam Gregg, to promote the industry and advocate for their top priorities.

                  

                  

On February 13, 2019, Iowa Insurance Institute members also enjoyed breakfast with Iowa Insurance Commissioner Doug Ommen. Member organizations had the opportunity to meet with representatives from the Iowa Insurance Division including Iowa Insurance Commissioner Doug Ommen, Communications Director Chance McElhaney, and Bureau Chief Jared Kirby. Members heard about the division’s top priorities for the year and were able to ask about various issues affecting their companies. Farmers Mutual Hail Insurance Company of Iowa, an Iowa Insurance Institute member in West Des Moines, Iowa hosted the breakfast event.
